Esme's granny square afghan - Sneak Peak

A friend of mine found out recently that the little bundle of joy they are expecting comes with ribbons and curls!  A sweet raven haired little girl is on the way.

Of course I decided to crochet little Esme a baby blanket.  After deciding on a pattern, my friend and I went to Rubys Haberdashery (if you just smiled, you KNOW what I'm talking about...but more on Rubys later) to pick out colors.

I was skeptical at first, my friend is quite adventurous with colors, but just LOOK!

Isn't it beautiful?!

I will be posting the finished product and pattern soon...her baby shower is in September, better get a move on!
